Liverpool Catholic Club Butchery is seeking an experienced Knife Hand to join our team for 20+ hours a week.

 

About The Role/Your Responsibilities

  • Meat Preparation: Filleting, de-boning, skinning, and trimming fat or excess bone from fresh meat.
  • Portion Control: Slicing meat into exact sizes and weights for display or packaging.
  • Equipment Operation: Using tools like bandsaws, mincers, and slicers safely.
  • Maintenance & Hygiene: Sharpening knives regularly and cleaning the workspace to meet health standards.

 

About You:

  • Knife Skills: Good control and safe handling of butcher knives.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long shifts and lift heavy items (10-15kg).
  • Safety Focus: Ability to Follow & understand food safety & hygiene standards.
  • Customer Service: Provide quality customer service and adhere to the clubs customer service standards.
